Semaglutide tablets (brand name - Rybelsus)

Important: Changes to your Rybelsus (semaglutide) tablets

The manufacturer is changing how Rybelsus tablets are made. We have updated your repeat prescription to make sure you receive the new version.

What is changing?

  • The tablet look: The new tablets are smaller and round (the old ones were oval).
  • The strength: You may notice the dose number on the pack has changed. This is because the new tablet is absorbed better by your body.
  • The effect: Even though the tablet is smaller and the number might be different, it provides the same clinical benefit as your previous medication.

Why is this happening?

The original versions of Rybelsus (3mg, 7mg, and 14mg) were discontinued on 31 January 2026.
